father's day.

What can I say but that I was utterly flabbergasted when I stepped into church on Sunday morning. The place was unrecognizable with streamers, cotton candy, lollies, food and games galore! That's right, it's Father's Day celebration, people!

The Men's Housechurch and Frootful & Multiply did an awesome awesome job in organising the communion lunch in conjunction with Father's Day. Kudos guys~=)

there's this presentation tomorrow.

I know you are all probably tired of my incessant ramblings and the lack of visual material in my blog. I will post some up soon, I promise! But before that, I'm going to have to ramble on again about events that have been going on in my life in the past few days=)

Well for one, there's this presentation tomorrow. And for another, .....oh wait a minute, that's all actually. Just this presentation tomorrow. It's consuming my life=(

Thus far, it has made me:

1. Skip a snow trip to Mt. Buller
2. Skip Disney cartoons watching with Sarah-Ann
3. Decline Ann and We-Ki's invitation to watching Notes on a Scandal
4. Stay home with the books on a Friday night
5. Stay home with the books on a Saturday night
6. Stay home with the books on a Sunday night

I hate presentations. I'm dreading it. Why can't I talk well in a crowd and dazzle them with my wits and charm? Why darn it whyY?? Instead, my throat goes all dry and my hands go all cold and my mind goes all blank and my knees go all weak. Oh joy.=S

Okay I'm going to end my post here. I'm going to try clear my throat, warm my hands, fill my mind and strenghten my knees. And on top of that, practice my Aussie Accent. (I fear they won't take me seriously otherwise)

Wish me luck!

when i grow up.

I mean really really reeeealllllyyyyy grow up,

I hope to be just like you someday. Because there is not one living person I know that lays down her life for her family more that you do. Who says the funniest things without realising it. Who brings an air of deep calmness about her. Who says, 'it's going to be okay. Just pray' and knows it for a fact when I'm frantic and am convinced that the world is going to end. You have the purest heart of gold ever!

And you, who dreams great dreams for me, yet accept the dreams I decide to follow. Who is ever jolly (well, most of the time anyway) and has countless tricks up his sleeves, bringing laughter and joy all around. (kinda like Santa! except without tricks and is asian) Who is so protective because he loves us so much and cannot bear the thought ever of anything bad happening to us. You are the kindest, nicest, most compassionate gangster I know. (don't worry, i don't know many)

You both who have sacrificed and endured so much and love us the same.

Dearest mummy and daddy I can't wait to see you laa. I miss you so much. It's super cold nowadays. I don't know why but it makes me miss you all more. Maybe I'm missing the heat and humidity of Malaysia too. But Karmern said that it's so hot, one might spontaneously combust upon arrival at KLIA. =S

But I don't care. Can't wait to see you! And Che, and Matthaeus, and Sonia, and Adrian, and Mamma, and Kung Kung, and Karmern, and Krystle, and Ai Li and Grace, and Peish.

3 and a half months to go!

assignments.

are the death of me=(((

But besides that, I had a wonderful weekend yet again! God is so gracious.

Chuenie arrived from Adelaide on Thursday evening. Her boyfriend attempted to surprise her with tickets to Wicked but unfortunately, the surprise failed to eventuate. But no matter. The important thing is that they watched it!=)

Went to St. Kilda on Saturday and we ate a fish, met a llama and spilled a latte. Ahh, all in a day's work=) WH is very funny. He has this uncanny ability to drop or spill things wherever he is; be it in a restaurant, a cafe, in a shop, you name it.

So, if you have an item which you loathe but has been presented to you by an old relation and therefore you can't dispose of it lest you feel guilty for the rest of your life, may I suggest passing it to WH to just..... have a feel. I guarantee you won't have to worry about it any longer=) And no guilty conscience snapping at your heartstrings either!

Went to Grill'd for lunch on Sunday and watched Drillbit Taylor at Ann's place after. It was a nice, lazy Sunday afternoon. It was such a relaxing weekend and I wish we didn't have to grow up!!! Chuenie left on Monday and it's back to reality now.

Assignments await. Farewell...=(
